Dr. Pavithra Prabhakar is a Chennai-based Consultant Diabetes Care Physician with a passion for evidence-based, personalized diabetes care. She completed her MBBS from Saveetha Medical College and pursued a Fellowship in Diabetology (F.Diab) from the esteemed Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre, Gopalapuram, where she graduated with distinction and a gold medal.

She has over 10 years of experience as a family physician and brings a holistic approach to managing diabetes and its complications. Her areas of special interest include:

• Monogenic diabetes
• Latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA)
• Gestational diabetes
• Obesity management & insulin resistance
• Diabetic ketoacidosis
• Type 1 Diabetes and insulin treatment

Dr. Pavithra has contributed to diabetes research during her undergraduate years and co-authored a chapter in the book “Challenging Practical Issues in T2DM.” She was also a national qualifier for the Torrent Young Scholar Award (TYSA), recognizing her academic excellence.

Fluent in Tamil, English, and Hindi, Dr. Pavithra is committed to improving patient outcomes through education, compassion, and continuous care.
